found semi-immersed in stream. Interesting "aqua" iodine reaction in sub-hymenium suggesting amyloid/carotenoid mix. no spores observed outside of asci. collection sadly colonized by secondary fungus.

Yes, Hymenoscyphus varicosporoides, according to DNA. This blue reaction I once obtained locally at the base in HB 10115. Peter Johnston separated Tricladiaceae from Helotiaceae while I prefer not to recognize even a genus Tricladium.
