apparent associated anamorph forming small, dark, pulvinate growths at the base of apothecia (micrographs forthcoming).
no spores observed outside of asci. dodgy in-ascus spore measurements:
12.3 - 14.7 × 4.2 - 5.5 µm
Q = (2.3) 2.32 - 2.9 ; N = 5
Me = 13.5 × 5.1 µm ; Qe = 2.6
Collected during the 2025 Richard P. Korf Memorial North American Ascomycete Foray (aka "The Korf Foray), held at the Appalachian Highlands Science Learning Center in Purchase Knob, North Carolina.
