Ethan CrensonHello all, This was found last weekend on a hardw
Mollisia???

Re:Mollisia???
Needs to see the structure of the excipulum, globulosa, prismatica, porrecta?
It is sufficient to make a photo in surface view but a section is always better. :-)

Re:Mollisia???
Yes but too uncoloured for a Mollisia. Does not look to come from the margin.
Is the margin totally wiothou hairs? Perhaps this is related to Hyaloscypha?

Re:Mollisia???
There are some hairs, more visible in KOH, and they're incrusted. I'll search in that direction.

Re:Mollisia???
On the macrophoto I can see the RED reaction od VBs oxydiation. I never seen this in Mollisia, but is often in Calycina/Calycellina or f.ex. Psilachnum.
I think the Apos are "to flaschy", to thick to be Hyaloscypha.

Re:Mollisia???
Yes, the paraphyses have probably VBs which excludes Hyaloscypha.

Re:Mollisia???
It looks somewhat similar to your Calycellina "heterospora", but paraphyses are different.
