Unguiculella on Athyrium
Charles Aron, 06-04-2024 15:00
Charles AronHi All,

I came across some minute whitish apothecia (<0.1mm) on a dead stem of Athyrium felix-femina. From the hooked hairs I assume that they are an Unguiculella but I'm not sure which species on this substrate.

Ascospores were guttulate (& rather hard find). Those measured were 8.5-12x2-3.
Asci approx 55x6-7
Paraphyses slightly enlarged at the apex to 1-3.

Best wishes,

Charles.
