A couple days ago I found small, loosely attached black pyrenos growing on a decayed stem of a fern (cf. Dryopteris filix-mas).

The asci are 8-spored and bitunicate. IKI negative, croziers apparently present. The spores are hyaline, two- or four-celled and measure 30.4 - 34.4 × 5.4 - 6.9 µm.

Does anyone know what this could be?
