Brownish Anthracobia
Stefan Jakobsson, 16-10-2023 01:05
Five weeks ago I found Anthracobia tristis and A. melaloma on a bonfire site in Southern Finland. Now there are a few A. tristis left and in addition a few apos of a brownish fungus, which I also believe is an Anthracobia.

The greyish brown apos have an even cover of hairs along the margin, 85-120 x 10,1-14,5 µm, with 2 or 3 septa. The spores are ellipsoid, 20.4-21.7 × 9.4-10.2 µm.

Does this enigmatic one look familiar, anyone? The yellow orange one is A. tristis.

Re : Brownish Anthracobia
In my opinion, this collection represents darker specimens of A. melaloma.
