Peziza arvernensis?

This Peziza was found on a dead tree (Fraxinus or Fagus). Because of the fine punctate ornamentation and spore measures of 16-19.5 x 8.5-9.5 ?m I was thinking of P. arvernensis. However, that species is usually found on soil and not on wood. Any suggestions?
