Another interesting fungus from coconut palm! I add this because I've never seen it before, and thought others might enjoy seeing it too. It is also nice to see something utterly new, and still be able to figure out the identification without too much trouble. In this case, I came to the genus using Seifert et al.'s Genera of the Hyphomycetes, and then two papers helped from there: Okada, G., & Tubaki, K. (1984). A new species and a new variety of Endocalyx (Deuteromycotina) from Japan. Mycologia, 76(2), 300-313.
Vitoria, N. S., Cavalcanti, M. A. Q., Luz, E. D. M. N., & Bezerra, J. L. (2011). Endocalyx melanoxanthus var. melanoxanthus (Ascomycota): new to Brazil and three new hosts. Mycotaxon, 117(1), 109-113.
