On an unknown substrate.
Mirek Gryc, 07-02-2022 20:26
Hello
Pyrthecia growing on the cut branches of the shrub. Probably Salix or Prunus padus.
Spores: (30.3) 31.1 - 35.4 (35.5) × (10.3) 10.4 - 11.9 (12.2) µm
ASCI: 100.9 - 111.46 (111.5) × 30.2 - 32.7 µm
I searched the type of Pseudovalsa, but I did not find anything about similar spores.
Each hint is welcome.
greetings
Mirek

Re : On an unknown substrate.
Hi Mirek,

you should compare your fungus to Alnecium auctum growing on Alnus.

Best,

Björn

Re : On an unknown substrate.
Hi Björn
Very good type.
I still have to work on this collection and see the spores more specifically (staining).
Alnus also grew in this place someday. Currently, only the stumps and apparently branches remained after this species?
Regards and thank you.

Re : On an unknown substrate.
I checked the spores again and unfortunately but I must say that my fungus can not be Alnecium auctum. Spores certainly do not have an apicule, and this feature is the characteristic of this species.
As for the substrate, I confirm Alnus, I checked.
I will still have to look for
Thank you

Re : On an unknown substrate.
Hi Björn.
I feel obliged to apologize to Björn. Its designation was completely correct!
Once again, I found out that mushrooms require a lot of patience from us. Today, for the third time, I decided to explore this collection because I noticed the free spores on the surface. Apicule was clearly visible on these spores. Therefore, I believe that I was previously researching immature spores.
Once again, thank you for help in identifying and I wish you all the best.
