Figs 19-23 from Kohlmeyer ea 1995
Eduard Osieck, 14-10-2021 14:50
Dear all

Can somebody provide a sharp copy of page 182 (figs 19-23) from

Kohlmeyer, J., B. Volkmann-Kohlmeyer & ?. ?. Eriksson. 1995. Fungi on Juncus roemerianus. 3. New ascomycetes. Botanica Marina 38: 175-186 ?

This plate shows microscopic details of Phomatospora bellaminuta collected in the USA from Juncus roemerianus (a saltmarsh rush species). My scan of that page is so bad that asci and spores are hardly discernible. Recently I found something very similar on Juncus maritimus (Netherlands).

Thanks for the help, Eduard

Hi Eduard,

please find attached the pdf downloaded from our University library. Figures do not seem very sharp, but maybe they are better than what you already have ...

Hi Roberta
Thank you very much for your help. The pictures appear to be slightly better but unfortunately the gelatinous caps are hardly visible. Probably I need to visit a library to see the original publication.
All the best, Eduard

Hi Chris
Yes it does certainly, the spores with their gelatinous caps are well visible.
I assume this is more or less as it should be.
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards, Eduard
