Lasiobolus vs Trichobolus
Enrique Rubio, 04-10-2021 19:45
Enrique RubioHello forum
Tiny apothecia growing in incubated deer dung. The hairs had any septa and the dextrinoid reaction of the hairs is inconsistent but sometimes present especially towards the base.
The elongate ascospores do not seem fit well with the broadly ellipsoidal or subspherical ones described by Marchal for Lasiobolus (Lachnea) lasioboloides, but the absence of septa seems more characteristic of Lasiobolus than of Trichobolus deextrinoideosetosus.
What do you think?
Many thanks in advance

Bonsoir Enrique.

Il peut arriver que Trichobolus dextrinoideosetosus est des poils sans cloisons ou ces dernières en très petit nombre et seulement vers la base.

Amitiés.

Michel.

Hello Enrique,

I think there's no doubt about Trichobolus dextrinoideosetosus.

Nice found!

Look here (sorry, german only).
