very small anamorph on Rubus leaf
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 01-06-2021 21:28
Lothar Krieglsteiner.. in the National Park Eifel, Germany. The amber-colored pycnidia (?) were scattered on the under side of leaves infected by the rust fungus Kuehneola uredinis. I was - without success - looking for "Mollisia" oedema. And then I collected this, and was not sure it is a fungus at all - but it is.
The conidia are about 4,5-6/1 µm large. The first fotos were taken in a water mount, the latter in Kongo NH3.
With Ellis & Ellis I find Leptothyrina rubi (anamorph of Hypoderma rubi that I know) with in my eyes similar characters (?). But this should be black ...
Who can helpt? (
Best regards, Lothar
