The fungus has been collected twice on different localities and different years - in both cases on small dead attached twigs in the company of dead Colpoma and living Capitotricha bicolor.

Spores with a sheding envolope, ca. 18 x 5 µm, fusiform, with prominent guttulation, mostly 1-celled. Asci I neg.

Cannot say that. A Pezizellaceae perhaps.

reported again yesterday (as https://svampe.databasen.org/observations/10165924 ) - it probably occurs in your back yard :-)

You must tell him how to work, I cannot recognize the species this way :-(

though probably you are right.

Hello Thomas,

I found a similar species several times last spring in cavities of completely rotten fruit bodies of Colpoma quercina. Maybe it's already growing. The species is easy to find by looking for conspicuous Colpoma-apothecia and concentrating on old remnants, it grows approximately 2 - 3 m above ground.

Cheers,

Guy
