Vaslaria crenata

Hans-Otto BaralHello

Hyalorbilia anonyma (Rehm) (= Pithyella anonyma) is only known from the type collection which was said to be on Valsaria baccharidis (Pat.) Rehm fide Rehm Hedwigia 34, Beiblatt: : 165 (1895), = Auerswaldia baccharidis Pat. (Rehm made the combination in Valsaria on p. 164). Only the name Auerswaldia baccharidis is found in Index fungorum. However, Sherwood & Korf 1976 and Korf & Zhuang 1987 write Vaslaria crenata Rehm for the same collection, without mentioning baccharidis. Also V. crenata is not found in Index fungorum.

Does anybody know how this stromatic fungus is classified today?

Thanks
Zotto
