Xylogramma (Durella) compressa?
Mirek Gryc, 31-12-2020 09:16
Hi
This is the first time I find this species so I would like to confirm that I marked correctly.
Ascomats grew on Populus wood, I didn't notice anamorphs.
The pigment for paraphises is dissolved in KOH.

I don't know what the correct dimensions of the spores should be, but they seem a bit too large to me compared to those given on the Zotto disc?

Spores:

(19.7) 19.74 - 23.7 (27.3) × (5.2) 5.8 - 6.4 (6.6) µm
Q = (3.1) 3.2 - 4.2 (4.7) ; N = 9
Me = 21.9 × 6 µm ; Qe = 3.7

20.86 6.56
22.20 5.25
21.49 5.97
19.74 6.38
22.29 5.83
19.99 6.09
19.65 6.24
23.68 5.98
27.30 5.86

greetings

Re : Xylogramma (Durella) compressa?
Hi Mirek

don't the spore dimensions fit Durella (X.) atrocyanea? A bit large perhaps. The hymenium may be reddish as in your sample (I once tried to separate this).

What is the blue hypha?

Re : Xylogramma (Durella) compressa?
Hi Zotto

These few blue scraps were at the base of the ascocarp. Basically intertwined with wood. I've only seen in one sample, so it probably doesn't matter much? They could be foreign elements.
Thank you Zotto for the suggestion. This is exactly the genre I meant but that you have them in the directory next to you, so I copied the wrong name :)
I'm at work and my clients don't let me focus.
