Helotiales on thin Salix branch

I found these last week, growing on a thin branch of Salix caprea, still attached to the living tree. The two apos on the macrophoto have slightly dried up; the color was paler when moist.

The asci have eight spores and some seem to have "Psilachnum drops" or whatever you call those. Paraphyses +- cylindrical, some look like they have a VB. Ectal excipulum of textura globosa, IKI+. croz+.

Spores:

8.6 - 9.5 × 1.9 - 2.4 µm
Q = 3.6 - 4.5 ; N = 5
Me = 8.9 × 2.2 µm ; Qe = 4.1

Any idea what this is?

Hmm... now I'm thinking maybe this is a Mollisia? The thought didn't occur to me earlier for some reason. Too bad I didn't test KOH...

No idea. Perhaps you have more pics of the paraphyses?

The hyaline excipulum seems to exclude a Pyrenopeziza, although the ascus guttule occurs in some species such as P. "aquosa".

Perhaps you succeed with a section?

Your fungus is growing on xeric bark, apparently rather undecayed.

I didn't make a section and don't have the sample anymore. But here's three more pics. The paraphyses were a bit difficult to photograph and these aren't the best pics. Not sure if frosts have had some effect...

The branch was indeed quite fresh-looking and well above ground level (1.5 - 2 m or so).
