I have found a mollisioid fungus on very hard, partly submerged wood, probably Alnus. The yellowish apothecia are about 1mm, some completely submerged in fresh water.
Ascospores: Ellipsoid, 8-11.5x4.3-6.
Asci: 78-120x6-9. Pore weakly blue in Melzer's.
Excipulum agglutinated with orange-brown matter at the margin.
Paraphyses with Vbs. Enlarged to 4-5.

Many thanks for this. I had thought the spores a bit wide (lower Q) for H. imberbis but I think that could be down to natural variability. Certainly, the apothecia seem to show quite a range of colour.

Do your macro photos have a yellow colour cast?
I agree that this is Hymenoscyphus imberbis, as Zotto says, but I have never seen the fruit bodies looking as yellow as this.

Yes, the apothecia are definitely yellowish. I could not find croziers after a purposeful search.
