Fruiting from a piece of hardwood collected from the ground in Pennsylvania, USA. Largest apothecium is 1mm, but most are <.5mm. IKI +. Crozier +. Paraphyses clavate and septate with crystals.  Hairs are septate but do not appear to have crystals.  All photos are in H20.
Spore measurement: (7) 7.5 - 9.3 (9.5) × (1.7) 1.8 - 2.3 (2.4) µm
Q = (3.2) 3.7 - 4.8 (5) ; N = 20; Me = 8.3 × 2 µm ; Qe = 4.1

Re : White disco
Hi Guy

good docu! I suppose this is Lachnum subvirgineum (nom. prov.) known from Europe, deviating from L. virgineum by capitate hair apices.

Your statement "clavate and septate with crystals" sounds strange, the paraphyses are lanceolate-acute and without crystals.

Re : White disco
Thanks! Im not very knowledgable with this type of fungi and thus why I am asking for help.  I thought the hairs were paraphyses.
