Sphaerostilbella berkeleyana
Dragiša Savic, 21-11-2018 11:22
Hi,
Is this Sphareostilbella berkeleyana? Macroscopic (0,2-0,3mm diam, orange) and microscopic (spore size, ornamentation, KOH negative) looks very similar, but it was not found on the old fruitbody of Stereum but on the decorticated wood of Fagus sylvatica. Wood was covered with black coat of some anamorphic fungi (Endophragmia?) and a lot of fruitbodies from Kirschsteiniothelia aethiops (see pics 5 and 6).
Also, there were plenty of anamorphic Gliocladium-like fungi (see pics 3 and 4).
Found in Serbia, Mt Fruška Gora, altitude 450m, November 6, 2018.

Did anyone find Sphaerostilbella on wood or I'm on the wrong path?

Re : Sphaerostilbella berkeleyana
The only thing I'm sure is that this is not the S.berkeleyana. I'm still working on it

In the meantime, I found real S.berkeleyana (of course, I hope so). This time on Trichaptum biforme.
The substrate and other characters are quite fits. Am I right?
