Hola, he recogido esta especie en madera de JUglans regia, estaba comprobando entre Cenangium y Encoelia y creo que va bien para Encoelia fascicularis, que les parece??Diametro hasta 8 mm
en Juglans regia

The spores are too short and wide for the fascicularis group I think. It is important to see the ectal excipulum: if it has no isodiametric cells (angularis) then it cannot be this group (Sclerencoelia).
Juglans is a rare substrate. Perhaps it is a Lanzia? But that has more stipitate apos and perhaps amyloid asci.
On one photo you can see lots of crystals, which would be typical of Sclerencoelia. But the cortical hyphoid hairs are rather impossible for that genus.

Thanks, then Sclerencoelia is excluded. Are your hymenium photos made with oil immersion? Would be good to take photos of the spores at higher magnification and resolution.
I have so far no idea. Do you know where the crystals occur? In the excipulum I do not see them.

Hello Rafael, Zotto,
I think this still should be Sclerencoelia.
For ex. the cyttarioid Sclerencoelia on Salix has higly reduced ect. excipulum.
Maybe Rafaels find is similiarly gelatinized as here.

but as I said, Sclerencoelia has a textora globulosa-angularis. very different from this one. And the spores are much narrower in the species that i know.

Muy dificiles de ver, hay una capa muy fina de celulas esfericas de 8--9 micras, esta capa tiene un grosor de 45--75 micras.
Las Ascosporas esta vez son de esporada y dan un grosor menor que las anteriores,

esto nos llevaria a Sclerencoelia ?????
No se si estos datos nos acercaria a la propuesta de Adan

Yes, now i agree, this is a good thickness for the excipulum.
Would be interesting to give this for sequencing because every host genus might have speciel species. I assume Kadri Pärtel would be interested.
