The first 6 tables show surely one species with 2
Xylaria bulbosa (Pers.) Berk. et Br.
Peter Püwert,

a friend found this Xylaria in August in coniferous forest about calcareous soil. I could determine the species as Xylaria bulbosa. Is this species really as rare, as in the literature indicated ?
Associated with Chamonixia caespitosa, Gautieria spec., Geopora cooperi, Ramaria spec. et al.
Greetings Peter.

Re : Xylaria bulbosa (Pers.) Berk. et Br.
Hi Peter, this is indeed a nice collection of X. bulbosa and it is indeed rarely recorded. It seems to have an ecology restricted to montane or north coniferous forests, possibly with preference with limestome, like in Jura mountains where it was first collected.
Ths may account for the apparent rarity of the fungus.
Best,
Jacques
