Bonjour, J'ai trouvé hier un petit asco observé
Scutellinia-like
Thorben Hülsewig,

i found few days ago this asco near a creek.
My first idea was the genus Scutellinia, but this species looks unusual for Scutellinia.
Have you got an idea what it is ?
best regards,
Thorben

Hi Thorben,
not quite a Scutellinia -> Parascutellinia. ;-)
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Scutellinia-like
Parascutellinia arctespora, but I'm not sure about the epithet priority (=violácea? =carneosanguinea?) or if there is more than one species...
Cheers,
Raúl

Re : Scutellinia-like
Hello, there is also P. fuckelii (described here: http://www.czechmycology.org/_cm/CM393.pdf ) with smaller spores and more orange apothecia. Spore size of this find lies exactly in the middle. I'm not sure about any other character to distinguish them, never found this genus myself.
Have a nice day.

Re : Scutellinia-like
Hi, together -
Parascutellinia carneosanguinea is rather common in flood plains on fresh alluvial sand deposits where mosses, algae and fungi are pioneers in reclaiming the land. But it disappears quickly as soon as the "normal" vegetation of higher plants takes over again.

Hi all,
yes, so it is, to be seen also on the collage. Th. Hülsewig has found the species also by a river. A finding in Germany (H. ENGEL 1985) was also on condensed river meadows ground.
Greetings Peter.
