Unguiculella tityri on Eutypella scoparia
Adam Polhorský,

microscopy corresponds well with U. tityri, but the host is atypical(?). Could there be another possibility?
Asci: MLZ-, crozier+, bi to uni-seriate
Spores: 5-7 x 3,5-4 , with few guttules
Paraphyses: perhaps 2 types?? majority protruding, coiled or straight, narrowing to the apex
others are immersed between asci with rounded apex
Hairs: i dont think i observed hairs, could not find them at the margin.
Thank you,
Adam

Hello Adam.
Deed the support is rather surprising, but your find looks good to Unguiculella. Can view the record in the database.
No problem in your previous message to S.Conicum, quite agree with Peter and Norbert.
Regards.
Michel.

Thank you for your opinion Michel, also on the Schizo. First time studying the genus, its big unknown to me.

In my opinion this fungus is not an obligate fimicolous but perhaps a parasitic fungus, that I have found on fimicolous pyrenomycetes (Podospora, Schizothecium, etc.) even on the hymenium of Pezizales as Coprotus species.

Thanks Enrique, thats very interesting, i thought it only grew on fimicolous pyrenomycetes. Seems to be species with much broader host spectrum.
