:o))

Re : Trichopeziza mollissima sur Fallopia japonica
This is a very difficult group now and I am far away to understand it. The spores are too short in my opinion for what I called mollissima which is now to be applied for the white one...
In any case important are the croziers in this aggregate, maybe also the colour reaction in Lgol (first blue then red).
The brown lumps on the hairs may be characteristic, but I am not sure.
Marketa Sandova works on this and I assume she could say more.

Salut Bernard

Hi,
I have determined this kind of yellow Trichopezizas as T. leucophaea.
Naturally I'm not sure, weather my determination is correct.
There seems to be some mesh with this genus. I have found photos of yellow and white ones in internet as this species and as T. mollissima.

Now I believe it is the normal frequent species that is currently fruiting in late spring and summer. Maybe the winter is so abnormal that it is now there.
Typical the drops in the paraphyses. And yes, croziers.
T. mollissima is a white species, according to the protologue, and probably specifically distinct from this one which might deserve a new name.
