Found on cow dung.


Asci: 8-spored, biseriate, thickwalled 232x32 um, with a short stalk of 32 um.
Spores: 53.1-54.0x13.8-14.9 um, 9 transverse septa, longitudinal septa between seperate cells, spores surrounded by a hyaline gelatinous sheath not expanding in Melzer.
In my vieuw spores contain 28 cells.

9 partitions and spores of more than 50 microns; ok for P.ontariensis.

Thanks Michel, I forgot to take a photo when Melzer was added to the water. The cells showed a little oil drop each but this disappeared after 1 minute. Would have made it easier counting the total number of cells.
