Scutellinia question

                    Chris Yeates,
                14-09-2014 16:00

Bonjour tousThis Scutellinia was collected on sodden wood by a small stream with Alnus glutinosa (mycologically rich, with two Naucoria spp., Laccaria tortilis and Coprinopsis laanii all close by). On spore characters I tentatively make Scutellinia crinita, but the hairs seem rather short.
Apothecia - largest 13mm across
Hairs - bi-multi-furcate at base, none seen longer than 760mm
Ascospores - (18)19.8-21.4 x 12.4-13.8(14)µm; Qe = 1.5 / 1.6
My experience of this genus is limited - any help welcome
Cordialement
Chris

                Adio Chris,
In my opinion, with these data, this collection is perhaps S. olivascens.
But it's difficult to compare sporal ornementation with this sort of microscopy, I haven't the habit !
Could you verify if hairs are flexuous like a long etirated S ? Like on my drawings :

                Re,
For me, it's good. S. olivascens seems to be a good option.
In fact, macro corresponds too !
