octospora axillaris?
Ismael Wind, 10-06-2012 23:49
In a flowerpot 2 octospora's. Usually it is Octospora roxheimii. This time the spores were much bigger and seemed fatter in the middle. Size spores were 27-30 * 15. Mostly with one big droplet but also wit 2 droplets or multiple little and one bigger My thoughts are O axillaris am i right? The moss is yet to be found out but likely bryum

Re : octospora axillaris?
I know O. axillaris with consistently biguttulate spores. What about O. leucoloma? But your given spore size is a bit too larger for all of those I know.

Re : octospora axillaris?
Les spores d'Octospora axillaris ont une allure plus fusiforme.
Comme Zotto, je pense plutôt à O. leucoloma.

Re : octospora axillaris?
thank you all. I ofcourse looked at leucoloma but the spores were too big. It has a minimum of 27 length. But when i look at the spores from Michel it is certainly not axillaris. So most likely leucoloma then. Thanks
