Naeviopsis?
Petersen Jens H., 03-06-2012 12:02
Petersen Jens H.This fungus is growing on Betula leaves.

Frb small ? 300 µm, no stipe, erumpent from a small, blackish dot, first with a small lid, then open with slightly pubescent margin, buffish, outside og young specimens with dark tufts.

Micro: Spores cylindrical; spores length 13-14 µm, width 3,5-4 µm; ascus wall unitunicat; with 8 spores; paraphyses cylindrical; paraphyses with blunt apices; textura prismatica. On/with deciduous trees; substrate/habitat leaves. [Description auto-generated from character input in MycoKey.]

On leaves og Betula, abundant 2. june.

It looks much like a Naeviopsis, but no species seems to fit the spores and the habitat . . .

Re : Naeviopsis?
These are the photos of my finding this year. I have also found it last week when I was in Austria. It is not rare on wet Betula leaves.

Re : Naeviopsis?
Yes, looks quite the same. Seemingly new to Denmark, probably found all over!

Re : Naeviopsis?
Hi Jens,

It could also be listed as Mollisia tumidula, what I think is a synonym.

Cheers,

Stip

Re : Naeviopsis?
No luck there either—not (before) at the Danish list.
