Does anyone have a key to species from the Erysiphales?
I am keen to obtain information such as the sizes of their ascospores and the number of spores per ascus. Although information is available in Microfungi on Land Plants by Ellis & Ellis, it is not complete.
Four species which I am particularly interested in are:
Erysiphe alphitoides
Erysiphe aquilegiae var. ranunculi
Erysiphe ulmariae
Golovinomyces sordidus
Thank you,
Peter Thompson
I can send you the details you require, from Braun's monograph. Will do it this evening.
best wishes
Chris

here is Braun's key to Erysiphe (as it stood in 1995!), not brilliant quality, but done in a hurry; I can follow up the rest of your request as soon as I am able (quite busy at the moment)
best wishes
Chris
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, your attachment does not seem to download in its entirety. I will wait for your additional information, as the part which I could see did not have the information which I was seeking.
Peter.
Thank you for the list of keys for the Erysiphales. I shall see which of them I can access on the Internet.
Your link to Braun 87 certainly looks interesting.
Peter.
I am also quite new to the forum, (this is only my 2nd request for information), though I have been referring to AscoFrance for many years.
I am not sure if you intended to add a link to your message, but it does not seem to work. I'm afraid I do not yet know how to do this.
Thank you,
Peter.Â
