I have a collection of Nitschkia on Acer, which however is in close association with Nectria cinnabarina. So I came by Nitschkia parasitica in the www. However I have no key for Nitschkia species. There seems to be something in:
Nannfeldt, J. A., and R. Santesson. 1975. Stray studies in the Coronophorales (Pyrenomycetes) 4-8. SvenskBot. Tidsk. 69: 289-335.
Does anyone have this article or do you know more Literature about the Genus Nitschkia (keys) or the specific species Nitschkia parasitica?
Any help is very welcome.
Thanks
Stefan

Recent key attached.  Please let us know if your collection is N. parasitica.

            Re : Literature on Nitschkia
                Hi Stefan,
Unless your collection differs significantly from the description in Nannfeldt, by virtue of its association with Nectria cinnabarina, it is most probably Nitschkia parasitans. If it is, we would be very interested in trying to use it for DNA sequencing. The species is the type of the genus Nitschkia and it is lacking in our LSU phylogenetic work on the order Coronophorales. If the material is ample and you are willing to send it, please let me know.
Thanks,
Sabine Huhndorf

            Re : Literature on Nitschkia
                Hello everybody
I think I can confirm the species to be Nitschkia parasitans now. The Spores are 9-12 x 2.5 micrometer and the perithecia mostly around 0.3 (0.25-0.35) mm which fits well with literature. The most striking feature is surely the growth together with Nectria Perithecia and Tubercularia Anamorphs. I add some photos, where this can be seen.
