Hilast week i have found the next Lophiostomataceae, this time on a hanging, but dead stem of Syringa. Just look at my photos ;)
Frutbody is a pseudoperithecia 0,1 mm in diameter, with a short beaked ostiolus, black, after cutting it shows a whitish inside.
Spores mostly 20-24x5-6 µm, very rarely over 30µm, with a central septation and 2 vacuoles in each cell, hyaline, smooth, constricted at septa and swollen on both sides of the septa.
It would be great if somebody could helpme with this, unfortunately Ellis&Ellis (1997) does not mention any fungi on Syringa except a Microshaera ;)

Perhaps a species next to Lophiotrema vagabundum, but you should see a sheath around ascospores. Have you look at them in ink ?

ink = lactophenol? I can do it because I have the finding here. In water and with oil immersion there was no sheath, or it was not visible. I will make some more photos from it, perhaps it helps ;)

You can try with Indian ink or ink for foutain pen.
In water we sometimes can see sheath on young ascospores.

Use Indian Ink (Tusche). Put a drop next to the coverslip and let it infiltrate until it reaches the spores. Then you should see a hyaline sheath, if it is present.
