The name Nectriella anisospora was changed to Pronectria anisospora in Mycotaxon 39:461, 1990.
Index fungorum accepts Pronectria anisospora as the current name.

Nectriella anisospora is an old synonym, OK. I've read your article "New combinations in Pronectria" in Mycotaxon XXXIX.
But I've also seen in Mycobank, that obligate synonym for it is Trichonectria anisospora even if people use the name Pronectria. What about it ?
I've a second recolt of that very nice fungus. In same conditions : on Hypogymnia physodes on Prunus spinosa with Evernia prunastri. Perhaps, it's not rare.

I suspect that Trichonectria or Pronectria anisospora is not rare, but is hard to find because it is immersed in the substrate. If your collection is fresh, try to isolate ascospores and see if you can grow the anamorph. The anamorph is an interesting species of Acremonium.

I confirm t's not a rare species, at least in my area (Nantes, west France). I've found it 3 times last year, on Hypogymnia physodes also
