Leptosphaeria is a really complicated genus so I am not really sure about the two collections I collected two days ago. I would be happy if you could help me. :)
The first one here grew on a dry stem of Cirsium. Very conspicuous are the collapsing ascomata when they are older. The spores are (33)38-42 x 4.5-5 µm and 6-celled with the third cell swollen. The peridium consists of big and dark cells and the ostiolum is filled with hyaline to slightly brownish cells and not with periphyses.
With the paper by Müller (1950) I come to L. ogilviensis and I think that, according to some other descriptions, this species could be close to mine.

Have you photo of ascospores to see color and the sequence of septation ?
But I think L. ogilviensis is a good idea !
My answer came too quickly, photos were absent, and with the photos, I agree with ogilviensis.

PS : but are you sure of Cirsium. Could it be Valeriana or other else ?

thanks for these quick answers!
Here I am not 100% sure about the substrate because there were so many other plants (but mainly Cirisum) around, maybe I am wrong with Cirsium. At least it had little spines which hurt me while trying to take photos of it...
I will compare my other find with fuckelii, thank you again!
