once again Raitviir gave no answer to my determination trials.
Among other ascos on Rhododendron tomentosum (former Ledum palustre) leaves I noticed some with dark setas.
The setas are up to 300x4-7.
The brown hairs are 25-45x4-8 and asci 25-36x5-6.
So, Venturiocistella venturioides is close, just that the spores are too big, 13-17x2.
Suggestions?

But also for me, it seems to be a new species. Something for Timo.

Hello Marja and Zotto,
That's something. We are on a foray until the end of September. Atleast Venturiocistella diversipila is a very lazy shooter, so if you fancy sending material to Stockholm and the population is big enough you could, for a change, dry it and send it. I'll rehydrate it, and if it fails to shoot I can probably squeeze atleast ITS out of dry material.

thak you Zotto for your opinion and giving me a good laugh. I naturally ment Raitviirs opus ;) What a pitty, that I had not the pleasure to meet him.
Timo, the collection was very scanty being collected just accidently among other things, few apos, from sunday and still in fridge. So, I see no point of delivering the propably ruined ones anywhere.
Marja
