Pyreno with interesting iodine reaction
Juuso Äikäs, 01-04-2024 19:32
These little black, round pyrenos were growing scattered on a well-decayed, decorticated Picea abies trunk together with Dacrymyces stillatus. The perithecia are up to ca. 0.25 mm wide.

The asci have a thickened apex, IKI-. The spores measure 10.5 - 11.9 × 3.5 - 4.4 µm. A couple spores appeared to have a septum.

The interesting thing is the hymenium's IKI reaction: it turned a nice vinaceous color -- seems like a rather distinctive feature.

But again I've no idea about the species or genus. Anybody got an idea what this is?
