Malcolm GreavesI found a group of Mitrula gracilis? on wet debris. They are <1.5 cm tall with pale brown head and cream/brown stems. There were no yellow specimens but I wonder if they are just old paludosa which do grow in the same area of wet heathland but probably a mile away.
The spores are up to 16.5 long which with the limited information I have looks to be more in keeping with paludosa.
Can anyone confirm or reject the idea that it is gracilis or could it be something else altogether.
Thanks
Mal

Re : Mitrula sp
I see more orange at the head and whitish at the stipe. Yes, M. paludosa would be an option when growing in standing water. Of course asci and paraphyses would give further hints.

Thanks Zotto
The orange is a bit my fault in brightening the phone photo but happy to accept your thoughts.

Re : Mitrula sp
The asci look good for M. paludosa.
