Hyaloscyphaceae on Betula
Juuso Äikäs, 11-05-2020 19:30
I photographed these a couple weeks ago or so. They grew on a well-decayed piece of Betula sp. I kept the sample in the fridge for some time but now it has decayed away. There isn't a huge amount of data but perhaps at least the genus might be told?

The spores measure ca. 7-9 x 2 microns, asci pores seemed faintly amyloid. I didn't manage to find any outer hairs.

Re : Hyaloscyphaceae on Betula
A nice hyaline fungus. But atleast I am only guessing and actually... I can't come up with a good one. Not completely sure if this belongs to Hyaloscyphaceae. These anonymous ones dont all belong there.  In the macro I think there are something resembling hairs on the flanks, but not many and probably not easy to catch in the scope. Nothing on the rim, no hairs there.

Ok, thanks. Some random mystery fungus then :).
