Hola a todos.Pongo unas fotos de este asco que encontré sobre madera, creemos de Juniperus communis.
Miden hasta 5 mm de diámetro y tienen un pseudopie de 1 mm.
Esporas de 15-21 x 4-5,5 micras con 1 septo central trasversal.ç
Excípulo ectal no lo había visto nunca, es nuevo para mí.

Hi Ruben,
the apical pore shape is no hymenoscyphus but Calycina type, your species resemble highly to Bisporella (with gelatinized excipulum) B. citrina the most but your sporemeasurements do not fit. So I would say perhaps a undescribed or for me unknown species of Bisporella

I agree, Stip. Then, how about B. (Calycina) confluens ? The spore size would fit better.

confluens is a species that is gradually linked with citrina, not clear cut in every case. Perhaps therefore the name confluens ;-)

I don't have the paper with me to certify, but when Korf & Bujakiewicz* have proposed the new combination Bisporella confluens, this species is described without croziers !

Yes, it is true, and the spore size is smaller. But the asci are not figured. In that paper only N-American specimens are cited. So this species needs reinvestigation, also for the apical ring type ("very slightly blue in MLZ, enhanced by KOH").
