Hyaloscypha on decorticated hardwood
Enrique Rubio, 22-01-2014 19:47
Enrique Rubio

Hi again

I'd like to know your opinion about these small (up to 0.7-0.9 mm) saucer-shaped subhyaline/greyish, minutely hairy ascomata, that grew on decorticated hardwood dragged by a stream.

The asci are IKI negative even after KOH pret., with croziers and the hairs are small and pointed.

I think in a Hyaloscypha species but I don't know a species that fits well with this collection.

Have you some idea?

If the asci were simple-septate it would be quercicola.

I looked in Huhtinen and there is nothing that matches this

HI Zotto

But the asci are clearly with croziers...

Yes, therefore it is a species not included in Huhtinen's monograph.
