Hello,
these ascos are estimately 0,1 to 0,3 mm wide.
The snow is just melting away here and I,m been looking for Desmazierella, but think, that I'll find everything else ;)

Re:On Pinus needles
The asci are about 60-80x 5-7 and paraphyses about 2 micrometers wide and there is a lot of them. They have something inside either septas or droplets.
I suppose, that the spores are filiform and septate and are about 35-50x2 micrometers, but I'm not sure. What I see may be parts of paraphyses.
I saw no empty asci, either these are not mature or they are split, when spores are released.
I hope, that I can check this today on a better microscope than mine.

The round spores are from myxos. The small yellow about 7 and bigger brown ones about 13 micrometers.

Re:On Pinus needles
I do not know N. minor, but I have this like N. niveus, very similar, identify by Alain Brissard and Zotto, and the apos macro look me very different.

Hi Marja

perhaps you cane keep the fungus in a moist box for some days t obtain mature spores?

Did you check IKI-reaction? Ascus tips should be blue. I also think it is Pseudohelotium pineti.
