Hello,I found these xylaria between reed in a wetl
Spores hyaline (6-0) 7.1-9.0 (-10.4) x 1.9-2.8 microns with two oil drops, from a spore-drop. Those measured within the asci were 7.7-9.9 x 2.8-3.9 microns.
Asci with 8 spores. 42-55 x 6.5-8.0 microns.
Hairs brown with hyaline tips, septate. 70-110 x 3.3-3.9 microns.
It keys reasonably well to Hyaloscypha leuconica var. leuconica, but that species has hyaline hairs.
Any thoughts welcome.

the brown "hairs" are proably associated conidiophores of a hyphomycete. The hairs of the disco should be hyaline, and their morphology is important to show.
Could it be Protounguicularia barbata?
What is the substrate?

This is from September and I no longer have material. It was on burnt wood, possibly Fagus, but not certain.
