Re : Seed
This should be the anamorph of Symphyosirinia clematidis on Clematis seed. Could you please take a photo of the conidia in water, under larger scale?

Re : Seed
Bravo Zotto,
I'm sorry but this is not possible, I found it a month ago. I do not have my microscope and occasionally use one at the University. Therefore I use Lactofenol than water because it evaporates quickly.

Re : Seed
Evaporation of water is a problem but is slow enough to make 100 microphotos of a preparation.

It is well possible that the conidia are still alive in your dried specimen. If so and mounted in water they will contain lots of conspicuous drops. I put two bad photos here, one in water, the other in Cresyl blue.

Also a photo with apothecia and anamorph.

Re : Seed
No,no, I do preparation immediately and micrioscope later, sometimes after 10 to 20 days.

Re : Seed
Let me please tell you that you should reconsider your methods. You loose a lot of information. The droplets in spores and conidia are only one of many features that are destroyed with your method. They are important species markers but are very difficult to use in dead material. When mounting in lactophenol they become even invisible and/or confluent.

Re : Seed
Thanks, I'm still learning. I plan to buy a microscope soon.
