Trichoderma sinuosum ?
Yves Antoinette, 04-11-2024 17:32

Re : Trichoderma sinuosum ?
Hypocrea sinuosa doesn’t show such a red reaction to KOH (assuming the NaOH reaction is similar) and has green spores. If the perithecia were bulging out and spores hyaline, compare with H. silvae-virgineae (see the excellent papers on green and hyaline spored Hypocrea species by Jaklitsch). Eduard

Re : Trichoderma sinuosum ?
Thank you very much Eduard for identification and very interesting literature. A general question about taxonomy, why, when I have a look in Index Fungorum or Mycobank, all Trichoderma are not renamed Hypocrea as it should be if Hypocrea is the teleomorph ? Maybe it's a question of time ?

See the paper by Jaklitsch & Voglmayr in a Mycotaxon:  https://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/mtax/mt/2013/00000126/00000001/art00020#
